If you know me then you know I've recently become obsessed with painting, drawing, building computers, collage, photography, video, painting.
Trust... they all conceptually intersect, it may just take me the next 30 years to prove it.  (and it is my life's work to follow through on that.)  In fact it really took all those steps to get to this point, and I'm really excited about it.  Working intensely these days - and really enjoying where this is going.

David Shook presents the Poetry Drone - a proposal for a re-purposed military drone to drop poems instead of bombs.

SXSW Interactive - March 8th

Big news friends - - I will speaking on a panel at South by Southwest Interactive this March. The panel is about poetry. Yes, poetry! Writer and poet Mandy Kahn and I have been collaborating for months on schematics for some large scale, acoustically driven art installations involving recorded poetry. We will be presenting these and other projects at SXSW. In case you didn't know, SXSW in addition to being a huge music festival also has a massive film and technology component from March 7-11. Here's the page for our thing - - if you are going to be there be sure to add our event to your schedule! Ours is on March 8th at 9:30am sharp. Very excited!

Hello Everyone - here's an update.  I returned from Iceland at the beginning of October.  Thanks to everyone at the SIM Residency.  It was a transformative experience to say the least.  There are many new photo and video works to show you on my website HERE.
ALSO - thanks to the Torrance Art Museum for having me in their recent group show Mas Attack 2.  I will be participating in another event at TAM, their open video art night Nov. 16th from 6-9pm. Link to the FB Event page HERE
